Food lodgement occurs when there is a gap in teeth. Small gaps in teeth are common in everyone. Minor food lodgment is common for everyone. Food lodgment in teeth can have very serious consequences. As food lodged in teeth will cause germs growth and it will cause formation of acids. The acids causes tooth decay, which can lead to cavities.

Prevention of food lodgement

Food lodgment can be avoided by proper brushing. After having each meal it is a good habit to brush your teeth, this can be done with or without tooth paste.
